Remove CPU fans

STEP 18

Disconnect the CPU fan cables on the system board.
Remove the fan assembly.

Remove heatsink

STEP 19

Remove four screws with springs securing the heatsink.
Carefully lift the cooling module off the CPU.

   
Clean laptop heatsink

STEP 20

As you see the heatsink is completely clogged with lint. Using canned air clean the heatsink.

   
Remove laptop CPU

STEP 21

Turn the CPU lock to unlock position.
Carefully lift off the CPU.
