STEP 18
Before you remove the top cover / display assembly, disconnect the soundboard cable on the soundboard.

STEP 19
Remove the top cover / display assemlby. |

STEP 20
Before you remove the soundboard, you have to remove the modem card. |

STEP 21
Turn the laptop upside down.
Remove two screws securing the modem card.
Lift up the modem card and disconnect the cable on the modem. |

Remove three screws securing the soundboard.
Disconnect the flat cable on the soundboard.
Disconnect the speaker cable on the soundboard.

Carefully remove the soundboard from the laptop.
Now you can replace the soundboard.

STEP 24
When you get inside the laptop, it's always a great idea to clean up the heatsink and the CPU fan.
Remove two screws securing a metal plate over the heatsink and lift up the heatsink from the CPU. |

STEP 25
This heatsink almost 100% clogged with lint. Clean it up with a canned air.
A clogged heatsink can cause the CPU overheating. |

I'm not going to disassemble laptop any further.
From this point you can proceed with laptop disassembly on your own. |
