Toshiba Qosmio G35. How to remove DVD drive and replace keyboard.

STEP 1
Start notebook disassembly with removing the battery. Do not forget to unplug the AC adapter.
Lift up one side of the keyboard securing bezel with a flathead screwdriver and remove the bezel with your fingers. |

STEP 2
Under the keyboard bezel you'll find two screws securing the keyboard. Remove both screws.

STEP 3
Lift up the top side of the keyboard and carefully flip it over on the palm rest.
Remove one screw securing the keyboard connector cover and remove the cover. |

STEP 4
Before you can remove the keyboard, you'll have to unlock the keyboard connector on the motherboard.
Unlock the connector, remove and replace the keyboard.
Remove one screw securing the DVD drive. |

STEP 5
Turn the notebook upside down and remove one screw on the bottom. |

|
 |
STEP 6
Carefully pull the DVD drive from the notebook. |

STEP 7
If you are replacing the DVD drive, do not forget to transfer mounting brackets from the old drive. |
