Removing notebook memory

STEP 1

Before you touch any internal component in your laptop, do not forget to remove the battery.
You also can access one memory slot on the bottom of you notebook if you remove four screws securing the memory cover.

STEP 2

After you remove the memory cover you have an access to the first memory slot and the wireless card slot.
The notebook is missing the wireless card, but it is "Wirless Ready" because the wireless antenna cables are installed.

STEP 3

Start removing the keyboard securing strip with a sharp object.
After you lift up one edge of the strip, you can continue removing it with your fingers.
Be careful and do not bend it too much or you can break it.

STEP 4

Remove two screws securing the notebook keyboard and lift up the keyboard from the base.

STEP 5

It is not necessary to remove the keyboard if you only want to remove the memory module.
Turn the keyboard over and place it on the palmrest.
If you want to replace the notebook keyboard, you have to open the connector on the system board first and then pull the keyboard cable. After that you can remove the keyboard.

STEP 6

Now you can access the memory module.
Remove, replace or upgrade the notebook memory.
