Remove keyboard strip

STEP 1

Insert a thin object under the securing strip and lift it up.

Replace keyboard

STEP 2

Be careful, it may be very tight.

   
Take apart laptop

STEP 3

Remove the securing strip.

   
Remove laptop keyboard

STEP 4

Remove two screws securing the keyboard.

   
Remove laptop fan

STEP 5

Remove four screws securing the fan shield.
Lift the shield off the CPU.

   
Remove notebook fan

STEP 6

Remove four screws securing the fan.

 

   
Remove CPU cooling fan

STEP 7

Lift the cooling can off the CPU.
Disconnect the fan cable on the system board.
Remove the cooling fan and clean it.

   
Replace CPU

STEP 8

Remove the old silicone grease on the processor.
Reapply the silicone grease.

DONE!
Do not forget to assemble it back! :)
